Description
The Eiffel Tower's iron lattice rises at the edge of the composition, probably glimpsed from a neighboring street rather than framed as a tourist icon. Ono's Paris views resist the postcard approach — he was more interested in the city's texture and scale than its monuments, finding the narrow streets and zinc rooftops as visually compelling as any landmark. The Eiffel Tower here serves as an urban marker within a cityscape, not as a symbol of France.
