Seeker

An abstract composition of narrow, elongated diamond and shard-like polygons in gradient hues—pink, magenta, teal, green, orange, yellow, and blue—scattered vertically across a mottled brown-gray background etched with a radiating web of fine cracked lines. The shard shapes cluster more densely toward the top and cascade downward with varying density, each panel blending smoothly between two or three colors. *Seeker*, by Takuji Hamanaka (2021), is composed of cut and pasted woodblock printed papers mounted on museum board.
