Ginkakuji, the Silver Pavilion, is Kyoto's understated counterpart to the Golden Pavilion, and Tokuriki renders its moss-covered grounds and simple wooden architecture with fitting restraint. The wabi-sabi aesthetic of this Muromachi-era temple suits Tokuriki's gentle approach better than almost any other subject. Publisher editions typically sell for $50-$250, often less than his more famous Golden Pavilion prints despite equal artistic merit.
