Lake Sai, one of the Fuji Five Lakes, is captured here in the rich colors of evening. Koitsu's treatment of reflected light on still water is particularly masterful in this composition. Lake and mountain subjects offer an alternative to his urban scenes. Lifetime editions range from $1,500-$3,500; posthumous editions are $600-$1,500.
