"Nippori Hotei" refers to a folkloric Hotei figure associated with the Nippori district of Edo, while "Toto Shichi-fuku-juku" (Seven Lucky Gods of the Eastern Capital) places this image within a tradition of Edo topography mapped onto good-luck iconography.
