$500–$5,000. Common landscapes: $500–$1,500. Key value factors: Collaborative prints with Frank Brangwyn are most sought after.
A barge on a waterway — the essential working vessel of the European canal system, its flat-bottomed hull designed for the shallow, confined channels of the Low Countries and northern France. This 1919 Bruges series print focuses on the barge itself: its heavy timber construction, the practicality of its design, and the way it moves through the reflective canal with a slow, purposeful dignity. Brangwyn had long been drawn to working vessels and waterways, and Urushibara absorbed this interest into his own visual vocabulary.
