Description
Ansei Uchima was a Japanese-American woodblock print artist whose serene, luminous abstract landscapes bridged the traditions of Japanese printmaking and Western modernist abstraction. Born in California to Japanese immigrants, he combined Eastern and Western artistic sensibilities.
