Description
This sosaku-hanga woodblock print depicts a mountain path winding through dense forest, rendered in Fujita's characteristic reduction of natural forms to geometric essentials. The composition likely employs a narrow vertical band of light marking the trail against compressed, layered tree trunks on either side. Fujita's training in graphic design informs his precise registration and controlled bokashi gradations, which create atmospheric depth without resort to literal detail. Printed on washi using water-based pigments in the mokuhanga tradition, the work belongs to his sustained series exploring the interior geometry of wooded landscapes.
