Description
A mountain path designated "C" — the third variation in Fujita's recurring exploration of trails ascending through forested mountain terrain. Mountain paths in Fujita's work are rarely topographical documents; they are instead compositional structures — the diagonal thrust of the path through vertical tree forms, the rhythm of receding footfall, the interplay of open trail and enclosing vegetation. The "C" designation indicates this is a studied variation on a compositional theme rather than a depiction of a specific location.
