Description
This second Japanese Seashore print — distinguished from the first by its catalog number — represents either a different coastal site or an alternative compositional approach to similar subject matter. Kitaoka may have varied the vantage point, time of year, or tonal emphasis between the two versions. Where the first may present a panoramic view, this variant might focus more tightly on a specific rock formation or wave pattern.
