Description
A stand of slender white-barked trees with pale green foliage lines the near bank of a lake, backed by dark green conifers and a range of blue-gray mountains with snow-streaked peaks under a pale sky. The composition is organized in flat horizontal bands of color — water, tree line, forest, mountains, sky — rendered in a clean, graphic woodblock style with visible registration marks and a margin inscription at lower left. Woodblock print, "Yamano Haru (Mountain in Spring)," by Fumio Kitaoka.
