Blue Tree

A single large tree with a broad, rounded canopy of dense blue leaves dominates the composition, its dark trunk and branches visible through gaps in the foliage. The tree stands isolated against a solid metallic gold background, with a low line of small dark bushes or shrubs along the ground at its base. The print is pencil-signed and numbered in the lower margin, with the artist's red seal beside the signature at right. *Blue Tree*, a woodblock print by Hajime Namiki, 2009.
