Description

A grid of nine square panels, each bearing a distinct abstract motif rendered in bold outline against woodgrain-textured color fields: an outlined double-lobed shape, four vertical bars over three ringed dots, a rising sun-like arc over five thin vertical lines, a looping serpentine line with two dots, a central red panel with a white lozenge encircling a black disc (an eye-like form), interlocking green circles, red loops with a black oval, a tapering black spiral, and overlapping red arcs. The palette is dominated by warm reds, oranges, ochres, and golden yellows, with sparing use of black, white, and green accents, unified by the visible wood grain running through each block. Hiroki Morinoue's 2005 color woodcut *Earth Watch* is signed and numbered in pencil below the image.
