From Yoshida's later career (1935–1950), these prints show his technical mastery at full maturity. Later-decade prints slightly trail peak-period 1920s works at auction, but jizuri impressions of desirable subjects still command strong prices. Standard jizuri Japanese landscapes follow the dealer benchmark of approximately $2,149; Sacred Bridge, Nikko (1937) sold for $800 at Schmidt's Antiques for a pencil-signed example.
This second printing variant of the Chinese junk series allows comparison with Plate No. 4 to trace how Yoshida modulated color relationships and ink densities between editions, a practice central to his jizuri self-publishing approach. The junk's characteristic squared sail and high stern are the compositional focus, the vessel rendered with the same maritime precision he brought to all nautical subjects encountered during his extensive travels through Chinese coastal waters in the late 1930s.
