Description
"Small Farm-House" brings Tajima's formally trained eye to a rural subject — the compact, weathered forms of a Japanese farmhouse — and distills its essential architecture into abstract woodblock language. Thatched or tiled rooflines, dark timber framing, and the surrounding land are compressed into geometric and textural relationships that evoke the physical reality of such structures without representing them literally. The work connects to his broader interest in the surfaces and forms of vernacular Japanese architecture.
