Torimbia 3 is the third print in Escudero's series depicting the Asturian beach of Torimbia, an enclosed Cantabrian cove backed by dunes and bounded by rocky headlands. The numerical rather than Roman numeral designation distinguishes this from Torimbia II, possibly indicating a later addition to the series or a compositional variation significant enough to merit separate labeling. All three Torimbia prints share the Hahnemühle 350 gr substrate and the seascape-landscape dual classification, suggesting they collectively explore different aspects of the same site — potentially varying the viewpoint from beach level to cliff-top, or contrasting conditions of light and tide across versions. Etching is well suited to rendering the distinctive textures of northern Spain's Cantabrian coastline: the rough-surfaced cliff stone, the particular flatness of a sheltered bay in calm conditions, and the visual contrast between the dark forested headlands and the open water beyond.
