Description
The station of Okitsu in Shizuoka, perched where the Tokaido hugged the coast between the sea cliffs and the ocean, appears here from the elevated perspective of Seiken-ji temple — the famous pilgrimage site whose grounds commanded a sweeping view of the sea and the coast stretching toward Miho no Matsubara. Sekino's high vantage emphasizes the landscape's drama: the blue Pacific, the green hills, and the thin strip of road between them.
