Shape of Water

*Shape of Water* (2019) is an abstract silkscreen print by Junichiro Yoshimatsu dominated by fields of turquoise and deep blue. A narrow band of dark indigo with fine vertical striations runs along the left edge, while the wider right field is scattered with irregular darker blue circles of varying sizes and small white and pale blue dots, evoking bubbles or droplets suspended in water. The print bears a pencil edition number in the lower left and the artist's signature and red seal in the lower right margin.
