Description
This limited edition Night Perfume print is among Kawano's most carefully produced nocturnal floral compositions. The LE designation indicates a controlled printing run, with each impression bearing the qualities of directness and fine carving that only a small edition allows. The plum blossom at night — fragrant, pale, and ephemeral against the darkness — is one of Japanese poetry's most beloved subjects, and Kawano honors this tradition while translating it into the bold graphic language of the sosaku-hanga movement.
