A second impression of Hasui's panoramic view of the Iwasaki family garden pond (大泉水の全景), this state may show variation in ink density, color temperature, or block wear relative to others in the group. Shin-hanga prints were produced in sequential runs using the same carved woodblocks; across impressions, the carver's and printer's cumulative adjustments could yield perceptible differences in atmospheric effect. The composition centers on the large garden pond of Kyu-Iwasaki-tei in Tokyo, with layered foliage along the far bank and a sky rendered through graduated bokashi. Comparisons across the four known states allow close study of how color mixing and paper moisture affected Hasui's characteristic treatment of reflected light on still water.
