Description
A second view of Nakanoshima — Osaka's famous island in the Okawa River — captures the same subject as the first Nakanoshima print from perhaps a different vantage point along the riverbank, in different light, or at a different season. The island's combination of European-influenced civic buildings, riverside promenades, and water-defined isolation from the surrounding city made it one of Kazuma's most consistently rewarding Osaka subjects. Together the Nakanoshima prints suggest the layered, multi-perspective documentation that characterizes his best urban work.
