A second composition under the title "Fragrant Breeze" (風のかほり) — Nakajima Kiyoshi returned to this evocative title multiple times in his career, each iteration exploring the same synesthetic concept from a different compositional angle. The idea of wind carrying fragrance bridges two sensory worlds — the visible movement of air and the invisible presence of scent — in a way that perfectly characterizes Nakajima's broader artistic project: making the imperceptible perceptible, giving visual form to sensory experiences that exceed the purely visual. The archaic orthography (かほり rather than modern かおり) maintains the classical literary register.
