$200–$2,000. Common Kyoto views: $200–$500. Key value factors: Kotozuka's Kyoto prints are popular and affordable. Seasonal temple scenes and garden views are most sought after.
Sanjo Bridge (三条大橋) — the ancient bridge crossing the Kamo River at Sanjo Avenue, one of the traditional entry points to Kyoto for travelers arriving from the east along the Tokaido Road — is both a practical urban structure and a site of great historical and poetic significance. From the bridge one looks back toward the Higashiyama hills and forward into the city; it marks the culmination of the great highway's journey from Edo. Kotozuka's treatment of this bridge scene captures the atmosphere of crossing between worlds.
