$500–$4,000. Common prints: $500–$1,500. Key value factors: Kaneko's vivid, pop-influenced prints have a wide international following. Colorful figure compositions are most popular.
Fuji 68, edition 13 of 200 from 1996, is a mid-career Mount Fuji print that reflects Kaneko's fully developed graphic language applied to Japan's most iconic subject. By the mid-1990s, Kaneko had established the Fuji series as his most internationally recognized body of work, with the mountain's silhouette subjected to bold color variations that could range from sunset orange through cool dawn blue to the warm pinks of cherry blossom season. Each numbered Fuji explores a different chromatic interpretation of the same fundamental form.
