Poem 67-68

An abstract composition dominated by an irregular, rock-like red-orange form set against a black ground, its heavily textured surface incised with thin black linear marks resembling branching stems, a wheel-like circle divided into quarters, forked and curving lines, and a small tree-like motif. A solid black teardrop shape sits isolated in the upper left corner, and a red carved seal appears in the lower right of the red form. Pencil-inscribed below the image are the edition number 45/201 and the title and artist's signature; this print, *Poem 67-68* by Maki Haku, is a 1967 color woodblock print.
