Description

A tall, narrow composition on cream paper dominated by a single bold black brushstroke that curves into a loop across the lower-center portion of the sheet, with a smaller dark angular stroke and touches of yellow and white pigment near the top. A small red seal appears in the upper right, with vertical text below it and additional text at the bottom of the sheet. Woodblock print, "Poem 68-55," Shôwa period, 1968, by Maki Haku.
