Description
A large abstract black form resembling a bold calligraphic brushstroke sweeps vertically down the center of the composition, its ragged edges branching into narrower tapering strokes near the top. A solid yellow circle sits in the upper right beside the black form, and a small red teardrop-shaped mark floats near the lower left; both accent colors stand against the heavily textured, off-white paper. A red seal appears in the lower left corner, with pencil annotations below the image; this woodblock print in ink and color on paper is Maki Haku's "Poem 71 - 63 (Life)," 1971.
