Work 75-24

A cluster of grapes rendered as overlapping purple and near-black circles, each outlined in a thin pale ring, hangs diagonally from a single dark, angular stem in the upper left corner. The composition is set against a flat pale grey-blue ground within a printed border, with the artist's red seal stamped at lower left and the pencil inscription "132/204" beneath the image. Maki Haku's *Work 75-24* (1975) is a color woodblock print in a spare, geometric style, its rounded forms and muted palette giving the grapes a still, abstracted quality.
