Work - Mago

A large abstract black character-like form, built from rounded and curved shapes with two hollow white circles, dominates the center against a mottled grey ground. Vertical columns of cursive script fill the space on both sides, above, and below the central form, with a small red seal in the lower left and the artist's pencil signature at bottom right. Maki Haku's 1960 woodblock print "Work – Mago" is rendered in black, grey, and cream tones with no human figures present.
