Work (Waku)

An abstract composition built from dense rows of black, calligraphic-style forms—rounded rectangles, hooked strokes, small circles, and angular wedges—arranged into a spiraling, interlocking rectangular pattern on a cream ground with pale grey-beige shading defining the negative spaces. A concentric, nested square structure organizes the piece, with the black glyph-like marks reading almost like abstracted script scattered across the surface.
