Description
*Noh* (1977) is a bold black-and-white woodblock print by Naoko Matsubara depicting a single robed figure rendered in angular, faceted black shapes on a cream ground. The figure's face appears in the upper right as a stylized mask-like oval with narrow eyes, set against a fan of jagged white striations suggesting a headdress or radiating hair, while the body below is built from overlapping dark planes broken by thin white slashes and a small triangular-patterned band near the hem. A red seal and the artist's pencil signature and date appear in the lower margin.
