Description
A half-length standing figure in an elaborate blue, lavender, and floral-patterned kimono with a wide sash, wearing a pale purple head cloth tied beneath the chin, gazes slightly off to the side against a soft gradient of pink sky and pale blue-green mountains. Trailing plants with small white blossoms grow at either edge of the composition, and yellow wildflowers dot the ground below a wooden walkway. This 1925 color woodblock print by Natori Shunsen depicts Onoe Kikugoro VI as Benten Kozo, rendered in muted pastel tones throughout.
