Description
Tominomori Sukeemon Masanori of the Gishi Shijushichi-zu series adds another warrior portrait to the forty-seven. Tominomori, one of the senior retainers, had served the Asano domain for years before the catastrophic incident that ended it; his portrait would carry the dignity of experienced service and the gravity of a man who had weighed his options carefully before committing to revenge. These nuances of character Gekko rendered through posture and bearing rather than facial expression alone.
