$1,000–$8,000. Common subjects: $1,000–$2,500. Key value factors: Hashimoto's bold castle prints are his most recognizable and collected works. Larger formats command premiums.
Stillness (Sand Garden II, Tenryuji), printed in 1958 in an edition of thirty-five, presents the dry landscape garden of Tenryu-ji Temple in Arashiyama — a UNESCO World Heritage site designed in the 14th century. The garden's title Seijaku (stillness) establishes the emotional register of the composition: the karesansui's capacity to induce contemplative quiet. Hashimoto's geometric rendering of the raked gravel, stone groupings, and surrounding plantings honors the garden's own formal discipline, finding in it a visual language consonant with his own printmaking practice.
