Description

"L'Attente, Celebes Menado (Waiting, Celebes Menado)" — the full bilingual title of one of his most widely circulated Pacific portraits. The three editions of this Menado waiting subject in the database (1947, 221/250, and this full-title version) reflect the multiple printings that his most popular compositions went through. Each impression hand-printed and verified by the artist, the large edition nonetheless maintained Jacoulet's standards of color consistency and registration.
