Description
A stylized half-length figure fills the composition, its face and body split down a vertical axis into red and grey-and-white woodgrain halves, with narrow black slit eyes, arching brow lines, and a rounded black cap or hairstyle. One arm curves inward at the waist marked with a red band, set against a background block divided into black, mottled black, and pale grey-white panels. Printed in bold flat colors with visible woodgrain texture in the grey passages, the print is signed "Kiyoshi Saito" in the lower right — Saito Kiyoshi's woodcut "Haniwa," 1960.
