Description
Autumn's transformation of foliage into blazing reds and yellows gives Ono a rich palette to push into abstraction. Where traditional Japanese landscape prints savored the sensuousness of seasonal color, Ono extracts the structural logic beneath it — flat interlocking shapes, minimal gradation, sharp tonal contrasts. The result sits at a productive intersection between the observed and the invented, characteristic of Ono's mature sosaku-hanga practice.
