Description
River (Kawa), a color woodblock print by Tadashige Ono (1960, edition 1/4), depicts a semi-abstract riverside scene with wooden docks or plank walkways rendered in ochre and grey against a teal-blue water surface. Three dark, angular silhouetted birds stand along the diagonal planks, while the background suggests pilings, a bridge, and dark structural framework in blue and black.
