Description
The third study in a series examining the relationship between a barn and the main farmhouse it serves, this print focuses on the architectural dialogue between two essential structures in the traditional Japanese rural compound. Tanaka studies the junction of thatched or tiled rooflines, the open passages between buildings, and the worn pathways that connect domestic and agricultural life. The numbered series format suggests sustained investigation rather than casual observation.
