Description
An abstract composition on a deep indigo ground, dominated by pale turquoise organic shapes that branch and spread like coral, lightning, or root systems across the sheet. Jagged, pointed tendrils extend upward from a cluster of rounded, cell-like forms in the lower left, while a second, sparser branching shape reaches down from the upper right; the mottled dark blue background varies in tone, giving the surface a textured, uneven quality. The palette is limited to indigo and turquoise, with no human figures or setting depicted. Signed "Toshi Yoshida" and dated 1952 in pencil beneath the image, with "No. 8" inscribed at the lower left.
