Description
A large dark circular moon fills the upper right of the composition, its silhouette overlapping pale bamboo stalks and slender leaves rendered in soft blue-green tones. The bamboo fronds cluster densely near the top and cascade diagonally toward the lower left, thinning out against the plain cream-colored silk ground, which is left largely empty. A cursive signature and two red seal stamps appear in the lower right corner; muted, cool colors and the asymmetric composition give the scene a quiet, nocturnal stillness. *Moon and Bamboo*, Uemura Shoen, Nihonga on silk.
