Description
Three flower vendors in indigo kimono cross an arched wooden bridge, each balancing a shallow woven tray piled with red, green, blue, and yellow flowers on her head, while a fourth carries a large green gourd-shaped vessel on her back; a pack ox loaded with wrapped bundles and led by a hooded figure follows behind on the tan-colored ground. The women wear dotted indigo aprons and skirts over pale under-robes, with white cloths tied over their hair, and one holds a loose sprig of flowers at her side. The print uses flat washes of indigo, tan, red, and green against a plain cream background, with the title "Street Vendor," Wada Sanzo's seal, and inscriptions in the upper right and lower right corners.
