Description
Mount Fuji rises snow-capped against a pale gradient sky shifting from blue at the top to soft pink near the horizon, its lower slopes rendered in deep indigo-grey shadow. Below, a wide expanse of green-grey foothills or lowlands stretches across the foreground, marked with patches of white and pale striations suggesting snow or mist. Vertical Japanese text and a red seal appear along the left and lower-right margins; the print is otherwise unpopulated by figures, in muted, atmospheric colors. Woodblock print, "Fuji from Yoshida" by Hiroshi Yoshida.
