Description
Tsujido no Fuji presents Mount Fuji as seen from Tsujido, a coastal area in Kanagawa Prefecture along Sagami Bay. This meisho-e subject — a famous place view — situates the iconic peak at distance across open water or low coastal plain, allowing Yoshida to deploy broad bokashi gradations to render the sea and sky. The title written in both Japanese kana and kanji (辻堂の富士) reflects the bilingual titling convention Yoshida used for Western markets. Fuji appears snow-capped, likely in winter or early spring, with atmospheric haze softening its silhouette. The flat coastal foreground creates a strong horizontal counterpoint to the mountain's conical form.
