Description
A snow-covered street lined with wooden houses recedes toward a dark hillside under a deep blue-black sky, their eaves and low walls capped in white. Red latticed facades (koshi) alternate with dark green and tan-shuttered buildings along both sides of the empty road, with a red-lit window glowing partway down the left row. "Goyu: Scarlet Latticework," a woodblock print by Jun'ichiro Sekino, renders the scene in flat planes of red, indigo, cream, and grey-brown with bold black outlines.
