Description

This print depicts Enoshima island in Sagami Province as part of the Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji series, offering another perspective on the rocky island that Hokusai treated multiple times across the extended Fugaku sanjurokkei. Enoshima's combined role as pilgrimage site and scenic landmark made it one of the series' richest recurring subjects.
