Description
A wooden footbridge crosses a river at night beneath a full moon glowing behind dark trees, its light reflected in yellow streaks on the water below. Two-story wooden buildings with glowing paper-screened windows line both banks, and a few small silhouetted figures stand near a lantern on the left bank and on the bridge itself. The scene is rendered in deep blues and blacks with warm orange-yellow accents from the lit windows, lanterns, and moon. Kobayashi Kiyochika, *Tea House at Imadobashi in Moonlight*, 1877.
