This complete eight-print set presents Koichi's selection of Kyoto's most celebrated views, packaged together in their original album. The "Eight Noted Places" format echoes the classical omi hakkei (Eight Views of Omi) tradition, in which artists selected a canonical set of landscapes to represent a region's essential character. Koichi applies this organizing principle to Kyoto, choosing eight scenes that collectively span the city's temples, shrines, gardens, and seasonal moods. Complete sets with their album covers are significantly rarer than individual prints, as collectors historically separated sheets for framing. The oban-format prints showcase the full range of Koichi's palette and his sensitivity to how the same city changes across seasons, from snow-blanketed temple roofs to summer greenery along the Kamo River.
