Description
A woman leans forward against falling snow, one arm raised to clutch a green kimono patterned with small pale motifs tightly around her shoulders and lower face, its red and white striped underlayer visible at the sleeve and hem. She wears a deep purple hood drawn over her hair, with a decorative pin or comb protruding at the crown, and her eyes are lowered against the weather; the background is a flat grey-blue field dotted with irregular white and grey snowflakes, and a red seal appears in the lower right corner. Sentaro Iwata's woodblock print "Snowstorm" (date unknown) is rendered in flat, bold color areas with minimal linework.
