Chrysanthemum

A tall, narrow woodblock print by Shiro Kasamatsu showing two yellow chrysanthemum blooms with dense, curling petals against deeply toned green leaves and stems. The upper flower is fully open and dominates the top portion of the composition, while a second, tighter bud sits below it amid serrated foliage; the background shades from deep green to near-black. A red seal appears in the lower left corner. No date is recorded for this work.
